Many members of the band experimented with everything from casual sex with other members, to cocaine, heroin, marijuana, acid and excessive drinking. Many members were also on the verge of suicide on many occasions.

In 1972, Danny and Bob got into an argument a few minutes before a concert that lead to Danny smashing Bob's head into a wall, breaking his guitar into many pieces and deciding he would not go on stage. After the show, Danny then criticized the band for their poor performance which lead the band to firing him.
Manager Clifford Davis formed another band by the name of Fleetwood Mac who toured the United States, which lead to the real Fleetwood Mac suing him and winning.
