Why Shreveport, Louisiana might be annoying:

The city's slogan is 'The Next Great City of the South.'
It's constantly referred to as the Shreveport-Bossier area, which pisses residents off to no end.
It is largely overshadowed by both New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
They spent taxpayer money to install carnival style lighting on the historic Texas Street Bridge.
Their ill-fated CFL team, the Shreveport Pirates was a perennial laughingstock during their two seasons in the league.
Like many cities in humid subtropical climates, it frequently rains here.

Why Shreveport, Louisiana might not be annoying:

The famed 1950's music program 'Louisiana Hayride' was based here.
It became a major tourist attraction in the mid to late 1990s as a result of a revitalization project.
It is considered a major hub in the Gulf Coast region.
In recent years, it's become a major center for filming movies.
The Red River Revel is considered the city's biggest tourist attraction during the summer months.
