    (June 13, 1964-June 19, 2010)
    Born in Lebanon
Last name also spelled 'Hammadi' and 'Hamadi'
    Member of Hezbollah
One of two hijackers of TWA Flight 847 (June 14, 1985)
Convicted in a German court of air piracy and murder (1987)
Placed on the FBI's 'Most Wanted Terrorists' list (2006)
After being convicted of theft in Germany (1983), he returned to Lebanon, leaving behind a girlfriend and their daughter.
He and his co-hijacker tortured and killed passenger Robert Stetham after discovering he was a US Navy diver.
Stethem's mother Patricia called Hamadei 'A coward who can only do something if he's got a gun in his hand.'
His brother Abbas was convicted of kidnapping two German businessmen in a plan to use them as bargaining chips for Mohammed's release.
The ploy did reportedly convince the West German government to try Hamadei themselves rather than extradite him to the US.
He was paroled by Germany (November 30, 2005).
In a coincidence, kidnapped German archaeologist Susanne Osthoff was released a few days later.
He reportedly rejoined Hezbollah after his release.
He traveled to Afghanistan to fight NATO troops and joined an al-Qaeda linked group (2009).
According to flight attendant Uli Derickson, he was the more moderate of the two hijackers.
He apologized to a hostage he had beaten after learning that the captive had a one-year-old daughter waiting for him at home.
According to the German government, talk of a connection between his parole and Osthoff's release was 'completely absurd.'
He was killed in Pakistan by a CIA drone plane.
