He was a former Associate General Counsel for Verizon.
He is seen as a closer ally to broadcasters than to other members of the FCC.
He supports virtually all anti-regulatory practices regarding telecommunications.
He was the mastermind behind the repealing of Title II rules on net neutrality (December 14, 2017).
He also removed from circulation a proposal introduced by his predecessor Tom Wheeler which would have required cable providers to make their programming available on third-party devices.
