    Many believe the cause of his stroke in April 2003, was due to his battle with his weight.
    He was a yo-yo dieter. He topped the scale at 340 and his lowest weight was 200.
    There was a rumor that he died of AIDS because he lost so much weight at one time (HealthTalk 2001).
    An American Idol winner sang his song 'Superstar' much too often (2003).
    His family used to call him 'Ronnie.'
    His first music group 'Listen My Brother' appeared on the children's program 'Sesame Street' (1969).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was found unconscious in his Manhattan apartment (April 16, 2003).
    He suffered a stroke-induced-coma in April of 2003 causing him to lose his voice for four months.
    His song 'Dance with My Father,' is a tribute song about his father who he lost at the early age of seven.
    He was one of the most successful singer/songwriters and producers of all time.
    His latest album 'Dance with My Father' peak at number one on the billboard music charts.
    Four months after his coma, he recognized his own songs played on the radio and sometimes sang along (August 2003).
    He received the Black Entertainment walk of fame award in 2000.
    According to the 1997-1998 Chicago Bull year book, he is Ron Harper's favorite singer.
