They lost three consecutive Arena Bowls (2002, 2003, and 2004).
Their mascot is a mullet-headed motorcyclist.
Former head coach, Todd Shell resigned from the team after he was arrested for cocaine possession.
They fired the coach who built them to be one of the best AFL teams, and replaced him with a coke-addict.
To stick to their snake theme, the team wears odd-looking copper-headed helmets.

Why they might not be annoying:

They have some of the best selling merchandise in the AFL.
Unlike Arizona's NFL team, their team name fits in with Arizona.
They have a good rivalry with San Jose.
They only had two losing seasons in their first 15 years of existence. Former Cowboys' star, Danny White coached their team to two Arena Bowl wins.
Unlike many AFL teams, they have stayed in one location for a long period of time.
