Why she might be annoying:

    She waste the time and money of the police.
    The police estimated it cost taxpayers $96,000.
    She faked her abduction (March 28, 2004).
    She claimed that the person who abducted her used cough syrup, rope, duct tape and knives.
    Footage from a store security camera showed her purchasing cough syrup, rope and duct tape.
    Most of the country believed her abduction up until the footage came out.
    Many believe that she faked her entire abduction for publicity.
    Two people reportedly saw her walking freely when she was supposed to be held.
    Her parents believe that she was indeed abducted, despite the obvious evidence.
    Weeks earlier she complained that someone grabbed her and hit her on the head.
    Three days before her faked abduction she checked her boyfriend's e-mail account and found romantic letters from him to other women.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She gave Wisconsin some publicity.
    She goes to the University of Wisconsin in Madison and gets high honors.
    She got the publicity she wanted.
