The Resume

    (June 3, 2001-August 21, 2005)
    Chris Barnes (ex-Cannibal Corpse vocalist)
    Steve Swanson (guitar)
    Greg Gall (drums)
    Terry Butler (bass)
Recorded 'Haunted' (1995), 'Alive and Dead' (1996), 'Warpath' (1997), 'Maximum Violence' (1999), 'Graveyard Classics' (2000), 'True Carnage' (2001), 'Double Dead Redux' (2003) and 'Bringer of Blood' (2003)

Why they might be annoying:

Chris uses the typical death metal grunt style of singing most of the time.
Their lyrics are often graphic and violent.
They did a stint on the 2000 Vans Warped tour, which is primarily made up of pop-punk groups.
Since Chris was the original Cannibal Corpse vocalist, comparisons between the two bands is inevitable.

Why they might not be annoying:

Over the length of their career, their song styles and lyrics have evolved from gore-inspired lyrics to more songs written about current world views and past experiences.
Their 2000 release, 'Graveyard Classics,' is a cover album, featuring songs such as Black Sabbath's 'Sweet Leaf,' Deep Purple's 'Smoke on the Water,' AC/DC's 'TNT' and the Scorpions' 'Blackout.'
Chris can alternate between a grunt and a shriek during songs.
