    He is the third member of his family to be named Robert Hampton Rogers.
    He enjoys body surfing.
    He initially announced his retirement from soccer after announcing his homosexuality.
    Many casual sports fans are oblivious to the fact he was the first openly gay man to play a North American team sport, due to the fact he wasn't playing on a sport in the Big Four.
    He sat out the entire 2017 season due to injuries, which led to him opting to retire for good.
