Why he might be annoying:

He was nicknamed 'Much Traveled Lou,' averaging 1.8 years per job.
He lasted a mere 19 days as athletic director for the University of Cincinnati, quitting during halftime of an early season game.
He quit the Bills claiming he was disillusioned with pro football (1965) only to return to the pros two years later.
He had a short temper.
He had losing overall records as a coach both in college (94-99-4) and the pros (97-101-7).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a two-time AFL Coach of the Year (1964-65).
Bills quarterback Jack Kemp said, 'Lou was the finest coach for whom I've ever played.... Overall he combined more talent into his coaching ability than my previous coaches.'
He was credited with helping O.J. Simpson reach his full potential as a running back.
His sideline rant to assistant coach Whitey Dovell - 'They're killing me, Whitey, they're just killing me!' - became an NFL Films staple.
