Relocated to Vienna, Trieste, London, New York and Philadelphia
Wrote librettos for the Mozart operas 'The Marriage of Figaro (1786),' 'Don Giovanni (1787)' and 'Cosi fan tutte (1790)'

His scandalous sex life got him banished from Venice.
His political opinions got him banished from Vienna.

He couldn't hold down a job, working as a priest, a poet, an opera producer, a tobacconist, a pharmacist, a bookshop owner, and a teacher of Italian.
