Why he might be annoying:

    He opted to forego his final season of junior eligibility to play in the World Hockey Association.
    His playing career ended prematurely as a result of chronic hip injuries.
    Despite being a North Stars great, his first NHL coaching job came with the rival Chicago Blackhawks.
    He coached the Blackhawks when their streak of 28 consecutive playoff appearances was snapped (1998).
    He was fired by the Senators after 48 games with the team.

    He was one of Wayne Gretzky's last teammates in Sault Ste. Marie.
    He was a member of the first North Stars team to reach the Stanley Cup Finals (1981).
    He spent his entire NHL playing career with the North Stars
    He served as the North Stars team captain for seven seasons, which was a franchise record prior to the relocation to Dallas.
    He was a successful coach in the junior hockey ranks, prior to his appointment with the Blackhawks.
