He play3e for a team that's considered offensive to Native Americans.
He started a trend called the ‘C.C. tip hat,' in which baseball players wear their baseball caps crooked.
Many baseball fans consider this offensive and a disgrace to baseball.
He is one of the heaviest MLB baseball players (6'7, 290 pounds).
Despite spending the bulk of his career in small markets such as Cleveland and Milwaukee, many fans felt he sold out after signing a 7 year, $161 million contract with the Yankees.

In his rookie season in 2001, he went 17-5, clinching the American League Central and Divisional Series for Cleveland.
Before he turned 25, he was in two All-Star games.
His father died when he was younger.
He's left-handed
He made a rare feat for an American League pitcher, by hitting a two-run homer during interleague play against the Cincinnati Reds (May 21, 2005).
He helped the Brewers clinch their first National League playoff berth, and first playoff berth in 26 years, after being acquired in a trade with the Indians (2008).
He guided the Yankees to the World Series in his first season with the team.
