Why he might be annoying:

He was arrested for involvement in a shoot out (1987).
He physically abused his son, Cyrus and other members of the Branch Davidians.
He refused to cooperate with US ATF officials and in a shoot-out, 4 government officials were shot dead (February 28, 1993).
After refusing to give himself up, the FBI sets fire to his headquarters, killing almost everyone inside (April 19, 1993).
Koresh promised to give up after the Passover holiday, the FBI took that to mean immediately after Passover, but Koresh supporters claim he meant any time after Passover.

Why he might not be annoying:

Attorney General, Janet Reno gave the okay for the F.B.I. to torch Branch Davidian headquarters in Waco Texas, when they refused to surrender (1993).
Supporters of Koresh claim he believed that this was all part of a biblical unveiling to bring Christ to the world.
