    In a 2000 bout with Joey Gamanche, Gatti gained 19 pounds between the previous day's weigh-in and the fight, giving him an advantage.
    When Gamanche fell into a one-day coma, boxing rules changed so that boxers were weighed the day before and day of a match.
    He was considered one of the most exciting and persistent boxers of all time.
    Ring Magazine named his epic bouts 'Fight of the Year' on numerous occasions.
    While on a second honeymoon with his Brazilian-born wife, Amanda Rodrigues, he was found dead in their hotel room.
    She was suspected of strangling him with her purse strap.
