    Served as Governor from 1995 to 2003
    Graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia School of Law
    Elected as an Independent Senator of Maine (November 6, 2012)

Why he might be annoying:

    He flooded Maine television with advertising during the June primary season.
    He won the Maine gubernatorial election mostly because another 3rd party candidate took a large part of the Democratic vote.
    Since he used to work for PBS, he may think that he's smarter than the rest of us.
    He left his post as governor even though he was extremely popular.
    After leaving office, he and his family went on a nationwide tour of America even though his kids were still in school.
    His proposal to have all school employees fingerprinted and have background checks was met with resistance by teacher's unions.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He began a revolutionary initiative to give Maine middle school students Apple laptop computers.
    He taught himself how to use a computer at the age of 45.
    He took several bipartisan stances on issues.
    He was in charge of several energy conservation companies.
    He was a member of Unity08.
