Why she might be annoying:

She lied about her age claiming she was born in 1936, 1938 then 1940.
She married the same week Malcolm X proposed to her (1958).
She hired a legal team to maintain the copyright of the 'X' symbol (1992).

Why she might not be annoying:

She saw her husband assassinated (1965).
She raised six daughters on her own.
She was raising her 12 year old grandson, who set her room on fire and killed her.
She was set on fire on May 28 and died less than a month later (June 23).
She had a nursing degree.
She had a doctorate in education.
She said: 'Find something good and praise it.'
She was adopted.
She believed that Louis Farrakhan was behind the assassination of Malcolm X (1994).
Her daughter Qubilah, decided to take the law into her own hands and arranged for a hitman to kill Farrakhan (1995).
When the plot fell through Farrakhan held a fund raiser to help Qubilah, claiming she was duped by the government.
Qubilah was sentenced to drug and alcohol abuse counseling, and her young son was sent to live with Betty (the boy who set her on fire).
