Why they might be annoying:

It took them 12 years to get a song on the Top 40 chart.
After four albums their record company dropped them and it took four years to sign a new record deal.
Another four albums with a new record company, another termination.
Wilson has been the only constant member as the group's had five drummers, four bassists and eight guitarists.

Why they might not be annoying:

As local favorites they received a national following after opening shows for the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton.
Their 5th album 'Tuff Enuff' hit #13 on album charts and received R.I.A.A. platinum status.
The first two singles from the album, 'Tuff Enuff' and 'Wrap It Up' both hit the Top 10 in 1986 and the videos were in heavy MTV rotation.
Jimmie Vaughan left the band in 1989 to perform with Stevie Ray but only got to do so for a year before his brother perished in a helicopter crash.
Their songs have been featured in the hit movies 'Gung Ho,' 'Bull Durham,' 'Cocktail' and 'My Cousin Vinny.'
