Served as script supervisor for 'Longest Yard,' 'Karate Kid,' 'Airplane II,' 'Uncommon Valor,' and 'The Frisco Kid'
Made a brief return to films with a small cameo in the 1994 'Miracle on 34th Street' remake, as a hospital doorman (again, named Alfred)

Why he might be annoying:

At 17-years-old, he looked like Ritchie Valens.
His beefy exterior earned him the nickname, 'guts.'
Almost all of his film roles went uncredited.
For some reason, even his role in 'Miracle' goes doesn't warrant billing, even though his character is even given a backstory.
His janitor character is frequently billed as 'Albert,' when his name is clearly 'Alfred.'
At the end of the day, it didn't matter much. Although he earned positive reviews from critics for the role, it never translated into a meaningful acting career.
Like his other 'Miracle' cast-mates, he would tell kids he really was friends with Santa Claus whenever they asked him to deliver messages to him.
Google searches for his name inevitably turn up results of Sen. Jim DeMint's bizarre 2010 opponent who had been arrested the year prior on morals charges related to pornography of himself and a female college student.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a favorite of Robert Aldrich's and was cast in a least five of his films, mostly in small roles.
He was very genuine and came across as 'just an ordinary kid.'
This made him very convincing as a good-natured, slightly awkward, kid from Brooklyn (moreso than if they had cast a typical 'Hollywood pretty boy' in the part).
He may have been cast 'off the street' for his debut film (his scenes were the only ones filmed on-location in the New York/Macy's area, where Greenman incidentally resided).
He is the only actor to appear in both major film versions of 'Miracle on 34th Street' (1947 and 1994).
He gushed whenever asked about working with Edmund Gwenn, once recalling 'he always found time to talk with me and he knew it was my first picture and he was very encouraging about what I was doing [and] said you're going to get marvelous reviews for this movie. And he was right - he was just a dear, dear man.'
He served as dialogue coach, teaching the largely Canadian cast of 'Sing' how to speak with Brooklyn accents.
One of his last production jobs was working on the set of the TV series, 'Hearts Afire.' Fittingly, he made a guest appearance on the show's Christmas special, portraying Santa Claus.
'Yeah, there's a lotta bad ism's floatin around this world but one of the worst is commercialism. Make-a-buck, make-a-buck! Even in Brooklyn it's the same -- don't care what Chistmas stands for; Just make-a-buck, make-a-buck!'
