    2003 USAC 'Triple Crown' winner
    2002, 2003 Non-Winged Driver of the Year from the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame
    2003 USAC Midget champion
    He has a tendency to crash a lot while driving.
    In his first Indianapolis 500, he spun on the first lap and almost took out eventual race winner Eddie Cheever, Jr.
    He got his ride with Gibbs Racing due to a close friendship with Tony Stewart.
    He forged a birth certificate to begin racing at midgets at age 14.
    He won the USAC Rookie of the Year award in 1997 despite running very few races.
    He became the second driver in USAC history to win the Triple Crown (all three major USAC division championships) in one year (2003).
    He finished 13th while filling in for Tony Stewart in a Cup race in 2005.
    He began holding a charity golf tournament for children's hospitals in 2007.
