Why he might be annoying:

He has voted several times against tax cuts and in favor of increased spending.
He supports unlimited trade relations with China despite egregious human rights abuses and voted against trade sanctions for China if it sells weapons.
He voted to set aside 10% of highway funds for minorities and women (sounds a bit weird, doesn't it?).
He supports affirmative action.
He opposed the invasion of Iraq.
He voted against most military appropriations such as missile defense and a pay raise for soldiers.
Despite the high percentage of crimes involving drugs, he voted against increasing penalties for those convicted of drug offenses.
While claiming to be a moderate, he rarely does anything Republicans agree with.
He voted in favor of bombing Kosovo but not invading Iraq (might have to do with which President's idea it was...)
His journal entries are bizarrely mundane: '7:15 -- 8:05 -- Kitchen -- brew coffee -- prepare and drink breakfast, chocolate Slim Fast.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He believes abortion is a woman's right.
He has called for an end to pro-Confederacy extremism.
He supports attempts to reduce US dependence on foreign oil.
