    (1898-January 12, 1928)
    Birth name was Ruth Brown
Murdered her husband Albert with the help of her lover, Judd Gray (March 20, 1927)
Executed via the electric chair by the State of New York
4th woman in U.S. history put to death by the electric chair
Photo of her electrocution taken by New York Daily newsman with a concealed camera
Her nickname at the phone company where she worked was 'Brownie.'
Once married, she made her husband change their last name from Schneider because Snyder sounded 'less ethnic.'
She married an opposite of her; he was 32 and an outdoorsman, she was 19 and a night life reveler.
She carried on an adulterous relationship with a married corset salesman.
She discovered Gray was a 'mama's boy' and suggested he call her 'mommie' (which he did).
She helped bludgeon her husband to death.
Gray helped her make the crime scene look like a home invasion and she would tell police some 'Italian immigrants' were responsible.
The cops saw through the sloppy story right away and charged them both with murder.
The couple was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to death (May 13, 1927).
As a little girl, she had intestinal surgery and suffered a botched appendectomy, leaving her in chronic internal distress.
She had epilepsy and was prone to fainting spells.
She paid the ultimate price for her crime.
Though cameras were not allowed in the execution chamber, the smuggled camera captured her with electricity zapping her life away.
Her death photo was plastered throughout newspapers.
Two famed movies were made based loosely on her story; 'Double Indemnity (1944)' and 'The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946).'
Some anti-death penalty lobbyists use her death photo for their own personal agendas.
