Although his 'Foundation' series was a huge success, he got bored of it and constantly worried about contradicting himself.
Although his publishers urged him to continue, and he did, eventually they let him stop writing the series.

He met his wife on a blind date on Valentines Day (1942).
He was a prolific writer and would correspond to anyone who would write him.
He said: 'The true delight is in the finding out, rather than in the knowing.'
He believed that humans should solve their own problems using science.
