Sports Executive
    (July 3, 1967- )
Born in Rockville Centre, New York
Graduate of the Catholic University of America
General Manager for the New York Yankees (1997- )
Previously worked for the Yankees as an intern and Assistant General Manager
Named to Crain's 'New York Business 40 under 40' for 1999
Many consider him to be a lapdog for the Steinbrenner family.
He ignored George Steinbrenner's advice to sign David Ortiz.
He has spent a lot of money on expensive, big-name free agents who rarely produce.
He hasn't fielded a World Series-winning team since 2001, yet still keeps his job.
A lot of fans hate him just because he works for the Yankees.
At age 30, he became the 2nd-youngest GM in baseball history when he was hired.
Ever since he was put in charge of the First-Year Player Draft for the Yankees, they have gotten a large amount of quality young prospects.
When asked about his success, he said 'My stamp on this team would be that I stayed the hell out of the way and didn't mess with a good thing.'
