    Produced the soundtracks for ‘Sling Blade,’ ‘Trainspotting,’ ‘Good Will Hunting,’ ‘Philadelphia’ and ‘9 ½ Weeks’
    Produced albums for Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, Robbie Robertson, The Neville Brothers, Brian Eno, Gordon Lightfoot and U2
    Recorded the albums ‘Belladonna,’ ‘Acadie,’ ‘Rockets’ and ‘Shine’
    His work is described as emotional, delicate and atmospheric.
    He often writes music and puts it aside in his ‘melody orphanage’ for use later.
    He records little bits of music on a tape recorder and calls the recordings his seeds.
    He once locked Peter Gabriel in a room to force him to start writing.
    He’s fascinated with France.
    He was called ‘the most important record producer to emerge in the Eighties’ by ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine.
    Brian Eno was so impressed with him that he asked him to co-produce U2’s ‘The Unforgettable Fire.’
    He doesn’t identify with any one religion but has built his own personal moral code.
    Bono recommended him to Bob Dylan.
