The name Lugosi comes from his birth place, Lugos in Hungary
Starred in 'Dracula,' 'Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein,' 'Glen or Glenda,' 'White Zombie,' 'Island of Lost Souls,' 'Devil Bat,' 'Zombies on Broadway' and 'The Body Snatcher'

Why he might be annoying:

He hated being known for his Dracula role.
He was addicted to pain killers, such as morphine.
He was buried in his Dracula cape and costume.
He turned down the role of the Frankenstein monster because it had no speaking lines and required too much make-up (1931).
He despised Boris Karloff, the actor who played Frankenstein.
He claimed to be the John Barrymore of Hungary.
Although as Dracula, he drank blood, in real life he would faint at the sight of blood.
He was an alcoholic fond of Egri Bikaver, a Hungarian red wine.
He was married four times and at least two ended in divorce.
Martin Landau won an Oscar for portraying him, yet Bela never won an Oscar.
