Why he might be annoying:

He was often unable to refrain from laughing while performing in sketches on his various TV shows.
People confuse him with an Australian actor of the exact same name.
When he appeared in the same TV show as the actor he is often confused for, he was credited as 'The Other Tony Martin.'
His first feature film 'Bad Eggs' went virtually un-noticed at the box-office.

Why he might not be annoying:

He saved most of the money he was paid for 'Martin/Molloy' and poured it all into making his film 'Bad Eggs.'
He is able to make fun of himself and his background.
The radio show he hosted along with Mick Molloy ('Martin/Molloy') was the highest rated show among 54 stations nationwide for it's entire running time.
He is an amazing impressionist, taking off the likes of Robert De Niro, Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hugh Grant, Snow, Paul Keating and John Howard
He is the favorite comedian of Rove McManus.
