    Many times he would smash bottles and amps on the stage and cut himself across his chest and stomach, often requiring himself to go to the hospital.
    His nickname is 'The Iguana.'
    He was addicted to a lot of illegal drugs and substances with led to The Stooges' first breakup (1971).
    Even though the band became clean and sober, they started using drugs again and it led to their final breakup (1974).
    Soon he became homeless and he checked himself into a Neuropsychiatric hospital.
    Although he's old, skinny and has flabby skin, he still performs without a shirt.
    He's once divorced and also annulled a marriage.
    It's rumored that he enjoys having sex with fifteen year olds.
    He once joked around, saying that he had sex with David Bowie.
    He is called the 'Father of Punk Rock' and him and The Stooges were considered the Jesus Christ of Punk.
    'Raw Power' ranked #52 on Q Magazine's Top 100 Albums of All Time.
    After The Stooges' first break-up, David Bowie convinced him to clean up his life and The Stooges re-united and recorded one of the best rock & roll albums of the century, 'Raw Power' (1973).
    Soon after The Stooges' final break-up and after he checked himself into a hospital, David Bowie visited him again and they became good friends, toured together and wrote two huge hits together, 'Lust for Life' and 'China Girl.'
    He played drums in a high school band called, 'The Iguanas.'
    While growing, up he was a big fan of blues-rock and after high school he played drums for a couple of bluesmen.
    Lou Reed and Jim Morrison influenced him to be a frontman for a band instead of being the drummer.
    He's left handed and even plays the guitar with his left hand.
    He collaborated with David Bowie, Joey Ramone, Henry Rollins and MC5.
    Him and The Stooges have recently re-united and they are currently performing concerts all over.
    He's a punk pioneer, one of the greatest live rock musicians and one of the most influential artists, influencing the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cars, Chris Cornell and Perry Farrell.
    He portrayed a Vorta on an episode of 'Deep Space Nine.'
