The Resume

    (November 22, 1946-January 28, 2005)
    Born in Austin, Texas
Portrayed Franklin Hardesty in 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' (1974)
Also appeared in the films 'Lovin' Molly' (1974), 'Race with the Devil' (1975), 'Rolling Thunder' (1977), 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation' (1994), and 'The Life of David Gale' (2003)

Why he might be annoying:

His decision to stay in character as the whiny Franklin between takes got on the nerves of the rest of the cast.
For example, Gunnar Hansen said he was glad when Leatherface killed Franklin since it meant Partain would no longer be on the set.
Like most of the rest of the cast, he didn't have much of an acting career after 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He suffered bruises and cuts on one arm when the wheelchair he sat in as Franklin accidentally rolled down a hill.
The red karo syrup used for the blood in Franklin's death scene attracted ravenous mosquitos.
He said about fan conventions, 'It is wonderful to see fans of all ages come up and tell me about where and when they were when 'Chainsaw' scared the pants off them.'
