    Left fielder/Shortstop for the New York Yankees (1961–69) and the Detroit Tigers (1969)
    Three time All-Star (1962*-1963; *MLB had two All-Star Games and Tresh was selected on two teams)
    AL Rookie of the Year (1962)
    Won one AL Gold Glove as an outfielder (1965)
    Died of a heart attack at the age of 70

Why he might be annoying:

    His batting averages frequently dropped throughout his career.
    During his time with the Yankees, he lived in the shadow of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris.
    Numerous injuries prevented him from being 'the next Mickey Mantle.'
    He was a member of two straight World Series losing Yankees teams (1963-64).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He took Tony Kubek's place as a shortstop as Kubek served his time in the military.
    He hit a home run on each side of home plate in a single game three times (1963 and 1965).
    He posted a 3-run home run that helped the Yankees snap a 2-2 tie and win Game 5 of the 1962 World Series.
    He prevented a Willie Mays base hit in Game 7 of the 1962 World Series which helped the Yankees win the series in 7 games.
    He played for his hometown team in his final Major League playing season.
    He invented the Slide-Rite training aid which teaches athletes how to slide and dive without an injury.
