    King of Babylonia (605 BC-561 BC)
    He used Greek mercenaries in his armies.
    He captured Judah in 604 BC, lost it to Egypt in 600 BC, regaining it in 597 BC.
    He laid seige to the city of Tyre for 13 years.
    In the Apocrypha, he is viewed as an instrument of God and a protector.
    He suffered from depression.
    Goes by the pretentious single name Nebuchadnezzar.
    He started off working as a labourer for his father.
    As a young man he became a brilliant military tactician.
    He married a Median princess in accordance with tradition.
    Because she pined for her homeland, he built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon for her.
    He led the Babylonian Army to victory over Egypt to secure control over Syria (605 BC).
    His life is the basis of Verdi's opera 'Nabucco.'
    He is the namesake for the largest bottle of champagne- 15 liters.
