The Resume

    (July 20, 1961- )
Born in Mount Vernon, New York
Host of The Wayne Allyn Root Show
Wrote the books 'Betting to Win on Sports' (1989), 'The Joy of Failure' (1997), 'The Conscience of a Libertarian' (2009) and ‘Angry White Male – How the Donald Trump Phenomenon is Changing America’ (2016)
Columnist for the Las Vegas Review-Journal
Vice Presidential nominee for the Libertarian Party in the 2008 presidential election

Why he might be annoying:

He is a vapid purveyor of wild conspiracy theories.
He has drifted back and forth between the GOP and the Libertarian Party.
He came to national attention after hyperbolically referring to Donald Trump as the 'King of Israel,' prompting the President to publicly thank him on Twitter (August 2019).
He dismissed allegations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump, saying: 'I believe [he] is one of the handsomest billionaires that’s ever lived; I don’t think he ever had to grope a single woman ever. I think they threw themselves at him, so it’s all a lie.'
He bizarrely argued that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election was motivated by 'penis envy,' because 'Mueller’s is smaller than Trump’s.'
He has variously pushed claims that Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen, did not attend Columbia University, and that Seth Rich was murdered on orders by Democratic officials.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is an Evangelical Christian, but is of Jewish heritage.
His father was a prominent local butcher.
He has been involved in several projects for Spike TV and the Travel Channel.
He identifies himself as 'a warrior for the middle class, Reagan conservative with libertarian leanings and relentless believer in the greatness of America.'
