Why Negro League might be annoying:

'Negro' is no longer a widely acceptable racial term.
Discrepancies were widespread in their statistics due to poor record keeping.
Therefore, Josh Gibson's hitting of 84 homers in a season and almost 800 in his career has been called into question.
Several teams had 'Black' in their nickname, such as Black Barons, Black Yankees and the oxymoronic Black Crackers.
Some others had other non-black racial nicknames such as Cubans and Indians.
The leagues declined when the Brooklyn Dodgers signed Jackie Robinson, leading to Major League Baseball integration.
There is a lot of debate on whether the leagues' caliber of play truly matched the major leagues.

Why Negro League might not be annoying:

It gave many African Americans the baseball opportunities they never could have in the major leagues.
It helped convince baseball owners that blacks can compete in the big leagues.
Its players had to deal with many cities that had whites-only hotels and were forced to either sleep on the bus or fans' homes.
It turned Josh Gibson and Satchel Paige into legends.
It allowed fans to choose players for their All-Star Game before Major League Baseball thought of it.
Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Willie Mays and Ernie Banks were major leaguers who got their start in the Negro Leagues.
In 1971, Negro League players began to be admitted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on equal basis with major league ballplayers.
The last of its remaining teams, the Indianapolis Clowns, continued operating until the 1980's.
