She was nominated in 1991 and 2000 for 'Best Actress in a Play' Tony. She lost both times.
When she won her 2005 Tony she thanked Laura Wingfield; a character in the play 'The Glass Menagerie.' Wingfield was being portrayed by life partner Sarah Paulson.
Paulson is 19 years her junior.
