Why she might be annoying:

    She is the only First Lady who never stepped inside the White House.
    She was born a year before the Declaration of Independence was signed.
    Her father did not approve of her marrying a military man, so it is thought she eloped.
    She was named for her mom.
    Her father's brother married her mother's sister.
    She married President William Henry Harrison when she was just twenty.
    She was outspoken in her objection to many political decisions made by President John Tyler and President James Knox Polk
    She took advantage of patronage. She got many of her relatives governmental positions, using her status as a presidential widow.
    She did not attend her husband's funeral in Washington DC.
    Despite not seeing her husband the entire time of his presidency, she was the first, First Lady to receive a pension ($25,000 lump sum).
    She holds the first lady record for most children (ten).
    Although she was put in charge of her family's financial management, she admittedly did poorly.
    When her husband, President William Henry Harrison, was congressman and senator, she chose to remain in Ohio rather than relocate.
    She demanded that President William Henry Harrison not conduct any business political or otherwise on Sundays.
    She opposed President William Henry Harrison's presidential candidacy both in 1836 and 1840.
    She did not attend her husband's inauguration, claiming she was too sick to travel.
    She was First Lady for the shortest period, 1 month (March 4, 1841-April 4, 1841)

    On her first birthday, her mom died (July 25, 1776).
    She went to boarding school.
    She was classmates with George and Martha Washington's granddaughter, Nellie.
    She was the first, First Lady, to have a formal education.
    She outlived nine of her ten children.
    She had no social aspirations and preferred the role of being a mom.
    Before her husband became president, she hosted visits from Vice President Aaron Burr, Tecumseh and Tenskwatawa.
    She lived in a 22 room mansion.
    She often hosted dinners for her entire church congregation at her home.
    She was married to the first President from the Whig party.
    Her husband was the oldest man elected president until Ronald Reagan.
    She strongly supported the Union during the Civil War.
