    Drafted 22nd overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1973 NBA Draft
    Played for the Indiana Pacers (1971-75, 1980-82), Philadelphia 76ers (1975-78) and the Denver Nuggets (1978-80)
    ABA Most Valuable Player (1975)
    ABA Playoff Most Valuable Player (1973)
    Basketball Hall of Fame inductee (2017)

Why he might be annoying:

    He spent his prime receiving little mainstream exposure.
    His prime years were overshadowed by the likes of Julius Erving and John Havlicek.
    The Pacers reacquired him in the 1980's as an attempt to reignite fan interest, in a move that would be considered one of the worst trades in the history of the franchise, since they traded Alex English for him.
    Despite his impressive career numbers, he didn't get inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame until 2017.
    He admitted to sneaking into Pacers games as a high school student.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He played for his hometown Pacers, earning two ABA championships (1972-73).
    He had a personality that was endearing to people of all races in a time where race relations in the U.S. were tense.
    He set a Indiana high school basketball record for most points scored over a four game span.
    He successfully adapted to the NBA's style of play, helping the Sixers reach the NBA Finals in his second season in the league (1977).
    He is considered a basketball icon in the state of Indiana.
