The Resume

    (1974-1977)
Born in London, England, United Kingdom
Founded by Paul Varley, Jake Hooker and Alan Merrill
Other former members include Terry Taylor
Notable singles include 'Touch Too Much', 'My Last Night With You', 'Once Upon a Time' and 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll'
Recorded the album 'First Hit' (1976)

Why they might be annoying:

They were only able to record one album, due to a conflict with their producer and manager.
They ripped off their band name from The Who's logo.
They initially recorded 'I Love Rock & Roll', which would later become overshadowed by Joan Jett's version.
Some casual music fans wrongfully assumed they returned to recording in the 1980's when a Canadian band of the same name rose to fame.
They are the first band in the United Kingdom to have two television specials and not record a single album in that time span.

Why they might not be annoying:

They were extremely popular in their home country of Britain.
They wrote most of their own materials.
They are the first band in the history of the music industry to record successful singles before their TV series hit the airwaves.
Their single 'Moving Next Door to You' was used as the theme song for the British show 'Homes Under the Hammer.'
As of 2017, Alan Merrill is the last surviving member of the group.
