    He failed an audition for the Chad Mitchell Trio because his voice did not blend well with the other singers.
    He called folk rock 'folk rot.'
    He licensed his song 'My Dog's Bigger Than Your Dog' for a Ken-L Ration dog food commercial.
    He was diagnosed with ADD and depression.
    He has recycled songs, turning 'Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation' into 'George W. Told the Nation' and 'I'm Changing My Name to Chrysler' (about the 1979 auto bailout) into 'I Am Changing My Name to Fannie Mae' (about the 2008-09 financial bailout).

Why he might not be annoying:

    Folksinger Dave Van Ronk said, 'Dylan is usually cited as the founder of the new song movement... but the person who started the whole thing was Tom Paxton.'
    As part of the Freedom Summer movement (1964), he performed at voter registration drives and civil rights rallies in the South.
    His song 'Whose Garden Was This' was adopted as the anthem for the first Earth Day (1970).
    He wrote the tribute song 'The Bravest' about the firefighters who died on 9/11.
