During filming of 'The Wizard of Oz,' he made several passes at Judy Garland.
He managed an all-midget wrestling show.
He starred in the utterly bizarre 'The Adventures of Superpup,' an attempt to keep the Superman franchise on the air despite George Reeves' death by moving the mythos to a fictional world populated by dogs -- or more accurately, midgets in dog suits. (Yes, they really shot a pilot episode for this. Honest.)
He worked as a shoe salesman until Shirley Booth encouraged him to take a role in a stage show.
He also worked as a stand-in and stunt double for several child stars.
He led a drive to get midget and dwarf actors full membership and voting rights in the Screen Actors Guild (1970).
