    Goaltender for the New York Rangers (1965-1975) and the Detroit Red Wings (1975-1978)
    Won the Vezina Trophy ((1971) shared with Gilles Villemure)
    Six time NHL All-Star (1967-1971 and 1973)
    Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (1987)
    Two NHL First All-Star Team selections (1967 and 1971)
    Three NHL Second All-Star Team selections (1968-1970)
    #1 retired by the New York Rangers

Why he might be annoying:

    Before joining AHL's Providence Reds for the 1960-61 season, he got into a kitchen accident with several burns on his body.
    He wore a mask that was similar to the one made famous by 'Jason' of 'Friday the 13th' fame.
    Injuries limited his playing time during the 1974-75 season.
    At the time the Rangers took out their high salaried veteran players, Rangers fans were upset as he was waived to Detroit.
    He was a member of the 1972 Stanley Cup losing Rangers team.
    He did broadcasting work for the New York Islanders in 1979 at the time the team was beaten by the Rangers in the playoffs.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He caught left handed.
    He was trained by Providence Reds head coach Fern Flaman for establishing his stickhandling and puckhandling skills.
    During a 1972 NHL playoff game, he showed his own bravery and courage while playing against the Chicago Blackhawks.
    In his first appearance in Madison Square Garden in a Red Wings uniform, Rangers fans rooted and gave him a standing ovation during a game against the Rangers (November 2, 1975).
    That game was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Moments in the history of Madison Square Garden.
    He retired from his NHL playing career with 289 wins, 54 shutouts and 609 games played.
    He appeared in the book '100 Ranger Greats' at #6 on the Rangers' all-time list (2009).
