Why they might be annoying:

Wolf broke the band up in 1989, then relaunched it a year later with completely new members.
They were accused of being Led Zeppelin sound-alikes and were derisively nicknamed ‘Kingdom Clone.’
Jimmy Page said, ‘Obviously it can get to the point where it gets past being a compliment and it can be rather annoying, when you've got things like Kingdom Come, actually ripping riffs right off.’
Gary Moore mocked them in the song ‘Led Clones.’

Why they might not be annoying:

Their debut album went gold on the day it was released.
They were the opening act on the 1988 Monsters of Rock tour.
Wolf said about the Led Zeppelin comparisons, ‘Every band, especially young bands, are influenced by somebody, and those influences will surface when you start writing your own stuff. In the beginning, we took it as a compliment.‘
Considering how many times Led Zeppelin was accused of ripping off other artists, Page’s complaint seems rather hypocritical.
