The Resume

    (November 14, 1973- )
Played for New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants

Why he might be annoying:

He was signed by the New York Yankees in 1990 as a free agent but didn't make the team until 1997.
Despite failing to live up to his potential, the New York Yankees gave him a chance and signed him to a $1 million contract to play in 2002.
During spring training he stole a bat and glove from Derek Jeter's locker and sold them as memorabilia.
    The glove fetched him $2,500.
When the New York Yankees became aware of this transgression, Rivera was confronted and finally admitted to stealing Jeter's equipment.
The team voted unanimously to kick him off the team.
He was fired and his $1 million contract was voided to a $200,000 settlement.
His lifetime average is .218 which is incredibly poor, especially for an outfielder.
