    Founded by Tycoon Henry Flagler
    Population: 99,919 (2010)
    Its originally called 'Westpalmbeach' as it was spelled in 13 letters.
    Henry Flagler wanted it as the location of the Florida East Coast Railway terminal, but he chose Miami for the terminal location instead.
    It has very hot summers and rainy weather occurs frequently from May through October.
    It was the location of a controversy involving the voting irregularities of the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election.
    It has been considered one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S. by having a very high crime rate.
    The International Polo Hall of Fame is located here.
    The Florida land boom of the 1920s helped the city grow faster and preserve many of its landmarks and neighborhoods.
    The St. Louis Browns, Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia/Kansas City Athletics and the Montreal Expos used to do their baseball spring training here.
    It is home to Palm Beach Atlantic University.
    It's hosted the music and art festival, SunFest, every first week of May since 1982.
    It is Southern Florida's oldest city.
