The Resume

    (September 14, 1886-March 10, 1948)
    Born in Prague, Czech Republic
Son of Tomas Masaryk, first President of Czechoslovakia
Czech ambassador to the United Kingdom (1925-38)
Member of the Czechoslovakian government in exile (1939-45)
    Foreign Minister of Czechoslovakia (1945-48)
Died as a result of jumping, falling or being thrown from a third-floor bathroom window

Why he might be annoying:

He spent several years in the US living as a drifter.
After being told Czechoslovakia could not participate in the Marshall Plan, he said 'I went to Moscow as the foreign minister of a sovereign state, and I came back a stooge of Stalin.' (1947)
He regretted not broadcasting to the Czech people on national radio to oppose the Communist takeover of the Cabinet (February, 1948).
Several people close to him, including his ex-wife and his personal secretary, said he had indeed committed suicide.

Why he might not be annoying:

After Czechoslovakia was sold out in the Munich Agreement, he talked to journalist Edward R. Murrow and, pointing to a picture of Hitler and Mussolini, said, 'Don't worry, Ed. There will be dark days, but there is a God and He will not let two such men rule Europe.'
In his WWII broadcasts from London to his homeland, he was said to have the charisma of a Churchill or Roosevelt.
He was a talented pianist and accompanied opera singer Jarmila Novotna in a recital of Czech folk songs commemorating the victims of the Nazi massacre at Lidice.
Despite the official verdict of suicide, there were signs of a struggle, including overturned furniture in his apartment, paint chips under his fingernails and scratches on his hands.
A post-Communist investigation concluded he had been thrown out of the window to his death.
