TV Series
The castaways had their clothes and luxury items all packed, only to find out on Day One that they'd have to leave them behind on the ship.
All they had at camp were the clothes on their back.
They had to put up with Sandra's loud mouth.
The theme for this cycle was pirate culture.
Rupert (Drake tribe) took the theme a little too seriously, even stealing the Morgan tribe's shoes and one of their rafts.
The winning tribe at reward challenges got to pillage one item from the losing tribe, but at a certain point it ended up being the same item stolen back and forth.
Drake won the first six challenges overall.
It featured two Ryans in the same game.
Osten quit, making him the first to ever voluntarily walk away from the game.
The first six voted off got to form a third tribe (Outcast), and had the chance to get one or two of its members back into the game.
Burton and Lill benefited from this twist.
    Two words: Jonny Fairplay!
When it got down to the Final Four, no one won the immunity challenge, as the jury beat the remaining players in a trivia contest.
Producers loved Rupert's charisma so much, that they invited him to Survivor: All-Stars even before his first Survivor aired.
They even gave Rupert his own leitmotif (a kind of theme music).
The Outcast tribe lived on limited rations in another deserted location prior to re-entering the game.
The Outcasts still had to earn their way back in, which they did, by beating out both the other tribes in a challenge.
Sandra became the first Hispanic player to win Sole Survivor.
Thankfully, Jonny Fairplay's grandmother hadn't died (and was probably at home watching Jerry Springer).
