    His death prompted director Richard Lester to quit making movies.
    He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
    'The Hill' director Sidney Lumet, used to dealing with intense method actors, allegedly asked Kinnear how he saw his role and was thrilled to get the simple reply, 'Short, fat and stupid.'
    He was one of Richard Lester's favorite actors, appearing in nine of his films.
    He did a good deal of charity work for handicapped children after his daughter Karina was born with cerebral palsy.
