    (January 20, 1918-January 3, 2002)
    Born in Tampico, Mexico
Birth name was Juan Garcia Esquivel
Albums included 'Cabaret Tragico' (1957), 'Other Worlds, Other Sounds' (1958), 'Exploring New Sounds in Hi-Fi Stereo' (1958), 'Latin-Esque' (1962) and 'See It In Sound' (1998)
Known as the King of Space-Age Pop
He not only went by a pretentious single name, he added an exclamation point to it.
His career faded when the American fascination with exotica did.
The vocals on many of his songs are merely nonsense syllables, most frequently 'zu-zu' and 'pow!'
His album 'See It In Sound' was recorded in 1960 but not released for nearly four decades because it was considered too uncommercial.
Audio magazine described his music as 'mayhem in Latin tempos.' (1962)
He opened for Frank Sinatra in Las Vegas on several occasions.
His performances featured elaborate light shows years before they became a rock concert staple.
Matt Groening called him a 'great unsung genius.'
He was rediscovered with the release of the compilation 'Space Age Bachelor Pad Music.' (1994)
