Why she might be annoying:

She had one hit as a solo artist, one hit riding Phil Collins’ coattails.
For some reason, she portrays a serial killer in the video for ‘Night Moves.’
She recorded a duet with David Hasselhoff.
After her pop/rock career petered out, she switched to Christian music.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was a background singer for Stevie Nicks, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Tom Petty, and Kenny Loggins.
Nicks returned the favor, singing backup when Martin covered the Nicks-penned song ‘Sorcerer’ for the ‘Streets of Fire’ soundtrack.
She became a realtor in Nashville.
