The Resume

    (2003- )
    Formed in London
    Tom Fletcher (vocals, rhythm guitar)
    Danny Jones (vocals, lead guitar)
    Dougie Poynter (bassist)
    Harry Judd (drummer)
Released albums 'Room on the 3rd Floor,' 'Wonderland,' 'Motion on the Otion,' and 'Radio:Active'
Recorded 'All About You,' 'Obviously,' 'That Girl,' 'You've Got a Friend,' 'Star Girl,' 'Transylvania,' 'I'll Be OK,' 'Please, Please,' and 'Baby's Coming Back'
Songs '5 Colours in Her Hair,' 'I've Got You,' and 'Unsaid Things' were featured in the movie 'Just My Luck' (2006)
Toured with Busted, Bjork, and Good Charlotte

Why they might be annoying:

In case you were wondering, they ARE named after the Back to the Future character.
A parody cover of the 'All About You' single on The YouTube Boy Band channel went viral, exceeding the original's overall view count.
They were labeled 'Baby Busted' because Tom Fletcher auditioned for the group and was rejected, but stayed friends with band member James Bourne.
In 2013, the two groups 'joined forces' to form 'a supergroup' - called 'McBusted' - which disbanded two years later when Charlie Simpson returned to Busted (so what we basically have here is a case of pop punker band inbreeding!)
Drummer Harry Judd supposedly had a fling with Lindsay Lohan during the filming of 'Just My Luck' (which became fodder for tabloids, as well as inspiration for their 'Please, Please' single).
They were billed as having starring roles in UK publicity for 'Luck,' despite having only supporting players - as themselves - in the movie (British teeny-boppers flocked to see it, anyway, driving up the box office numbers in the process).

Why they might not be annoying:

They actively engage their fans on social media.
Niall Horan and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson have cited them as influences.
They have had 15 top-ten singles and seven number one hits in the UK.
They broke the record set by The Beatles for youngest band to have a #1 debut album (2004).
The received the Brit Award for Best Pop Act (2005).
They received the UK Festival Award for Best Pop Act (2007).
They have performed at various charity projects including Children in Need, Live 8, Sport Relief and Earth Hour.
They shot the music video for their James Taylor/'You've Got a Friend' cover at a refugee camp in Uganda, to raise awareness for global HIV/AIDS prevention. The proceeds of the single were donated to the British Comic Relief charity (2005).
Harry was invited to carry the Olympic Torch as part of the Relay Run for the 2012 London Olympics.
