They mostly perform religious choral music, ignoring other genres like death metal and rap.

They gave their first performance less than a month after Mormons settled in Utah.
Their radio show is the longest-running broadcast program in American history.
They have performed in Central America, Brazil, Japan, Australia, Russia and Israel.
They have won many music awards, including a Grammy.
They now allow people in their twenties to join.
They did sing at the funerals of two Democratic presidents (FDR and JFK).
They played a major role in the American Bicentennial celebrations (1976).
President Ronald Reagan called them 'America's choir.'
